So today I want to touch on body confidence as its something that has cropped up frequently recently, and I thought by putting down some of my thoughts, it could help somebody realise that happiness is not how we look. We shouldn’t be relating the both because It’s leading to unhappiness and unfulfilment.
I know it sounds cliché but happiness really does come from within and I think that we can help to get there by not relating our happiness with a certain number, certain size, or the way that we look.
It’s easy to compare ourselves to others by seeing pictures on social media of somebody who you might think is ripped all year round or in the best shape of their lives all the time and that’s not true. None of us are in the best shape of our lives all year round, we would never make the best progress we could if we were, but even if that was possible you should be asking yourself, “Is that where happiness lies for you?”
Happiness should be the journey and a part of every day to achieving a specific goal that you might want to achieve, not in the attainment of that goal.
So instead of relating your happiness to the future, think about what routines will lead to happiness being a part of your everyday.
